I have worked in some form of sales for the last year or so. It's been interesting, to say the least. I feel very much in the position to impart some everyday advice for people, whether you work in sales or not.
-Cash is always better. ALWAYS.
-If you buy something worth less then four dollars and pay for it with a twenty, I will CUT YOU. Don't even get me started if its a fifty.
-Yes I am your waitress which means you can order food and drinks and chat with me. This does not mean that you can a) discuss my physical attributes right in front of my face as if I'm not there b) touch me in any way shape or form c) Get insanely drunk and then try and blame me for you life problems, hit on me, or skip out on the bill
-Just because I'm here doesn't mean I want to talk to you. In fact, I usually don't.
-Don't show up 5 minutes before closing and expect to be treated nicely. We want to get out of there just as much as you want out of your job at the end of the day.
-Pick your own crap off the table and put it on the plate. Touching anyones snotty tissues is nasty, period.
-Sales people are the angriest people, ever. Be careful.
